Holiday Gift Guide

Gifts You Will Love to Give… And Some to Keep!

Let’s Start with The Big Ones:

  1. HigherDOSE Infrared PEMF Go Mat: WTF is PEMF? Pulsed Electronic Magnetic Frequencies mimic the healing vibrations of the earth. Plus, we have magnetic energy fields within our bodies - aka our chakras. So this tunes in to the earth’s energy, and then evens out our energy systems, promoting relaxation, recovery, better circulation and healing. Infrared heat allows for even greater recovery + detox. Amethyst & obsidian amplify the benefits of PEMF and infrared heat. The ion setting allows for negative ion absorption, which fights free radicals & oxidative stress (think: antioxidants).  I use the full size during energy work sessions. I love that one of the PEMF settings recommends usage when you are feeling overstimulated from technology. Aren’t we all? Go mat is sized for your desk chair or anywhere you’d like to plug in & recharge.

  2. HigherDOSE Infrared Sauna Blanket: Don’t have the space for a standard size sauna? No problem. HigherDOSE created the original far infrared sauna blanket. Far infrared heat helps with recovery, immunity, and greater overall health and wellness via detoxification. Sweat out your bodies impurities, watch your skin start to glow, boost your mood, increase blood flow… and burn calories. I’ve been using saunas since I was 15 years old to help with period pain, endometriosis and joint pain (thanks Mom!). We said goodbye to our big Sunlighten sauna when we moved recently, so I’m on my second HigherDOSE blanket - and I highly recommend. Pro tip: Use ~3x weekly for 30-50 min, & don’t skip out on the towel insert.

  3. LightPath LED: I’m so glad that red light therapy is finally getting the moment in the wellness spotlight that it deserves. Now there are face masks, hair hats, gloves and more - all boasting the benefits of red light therapy. Which are? Skin beautification, cellular energy, inflammation, recovery and circulation support. But what about blue light? The majority of Scott’s LightPath LED panels are split between red and blue light - and the light is pulsed. This is why I love his panels. Blue light is antibacterial and wound healing - it is great for acne and made such a difference for me when I was dealing with cystic acne during the pandemic. Blue light, specifically, helps with seasonal affective disorder (SAD), mood & depression. However, it’s the pulsed light that really sets these panels apart. Scott writes: the latest studies have shown that pulsing light creates a new level of benefit above non-pulsed (continuous wave) - pulsing light increases cellular activity, activates ion channels, and creates a resonance with cells.

Cashmere Corner:

  1. White + Warren Cashmere Travel Wrap: The luxe wardrobe addition you never knew you needed. It is an essential layering piece - not just for your winter look - it’s called the travel wrap for a reason. In all honesty, I inherited the navy travel wrap and was gifted the scarf many moons ago - and I will say that, while both are gorg, durable and long lasting, the difference is beyond noticeable. The wrap is much bigger and much thicker - 100% worth the extra splurge. I am hoping that Santa brings a wrap for me in sand wisp or mocha heather. Also, it never pills. Obviously mine is never without a solitary River hair.

  2. Quince Cashmere Throw + Socks: Neither of these items will arrive before Christmas, but if you do not conform to structured gifting dates and love a good IOU notecard (is that only our family?) then I definitely recommend. I ordered one yesterday and now my gifting list is officially complete. Mine has been claimed by River. Who wouldn’t want to lay in 100% cashmere? Quince cashmere pricing cannot be beat, and the quality is top notch. They use mongolian cashmere, sourced from Hircus goats from inner Mongolia and it. is. dreamy. This is the ribbed knit in oatmeal, but now they make a bigger 60x80 size for sharing, which is even more - you guessed it - luxe. Standard sizing (50x60) is more of a personal size.

The socks - Quince just rolled these out after Thanksgiving. I know this because I have been hunting for 100% cashmere socks, to no avail, since the fall. I love giving cashmere socks as a gift - there’s really no better feeling for your feet. However, most are a blend, and sometimes the real cashmere % is disappointingly low. In all my market research, Quince is the best price ($30!) and the highest % cashmere in a blend. (Should brands have to write “Cashmere Blend Socks?” I think so. Most other brands offer cashmere/blend socks (NAADAM, J. Crew, Jenni Kayne, Brooks Brothers & Naked Cashmere) at $65+.

  3. 100% Cashmere Socks: With that being said, of course I found 100% cashmere socks. State Cashmere on Amazon. Sizes small (women’s size 6-11) & large (men’s size 7-13). Color selection is low, but quality is high so we can’t complain. And what other colors do we really need besides the classics (grey, neutral & black)? If you have Amazon Prime, they’re on sale right now. These are the ultimate stocking stuffer. If you are gifting to someone else, do yourself a favor and get a pair for you. You deserve them.

Stocking Stuffers:

  1. Living Libations Sea Buckthorn Best Skin Ever: My go-to moisturizer that I have been using since I left NYC. Of course that’s where I discovered Sea Buckthorn - I’d take shots from Juice Generation whenever I was passing by (tastes like sourpatch kids).  Sea buckthorn is a natural source of omegas (3, 6, 7 & 9), and is an antioxidant high in vitamin C, so it neutralizes free radical damage - which is great for your skin. Most importantly, it naturally protects against the sun’s UV rays due to high levels of astaxanthin (antioxidant from the carotenoid family). This is the reddish/orange pigment we see in crustaceans and salmon - protecting them from oxidative stress! Which, in our bodies, can cause dis-ease & premature aging of the skin. So I did a little digging. If I’m putting this in my body for my skin, could I also be putting it on my skin? Enter: Best Skin Ever. I vetted several brands that were thick and sticky and turned by skin orange - this does not. It is light and moisturizing, and does not leave a color residue on the skin - or on your pillow. PSA: My favorite size is 1.69oz.

Purchase on Amazon from Carbon Beauty to get it by Christmas.

  2. Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Coconut Moisturizer: Whether you’re from the beach or if you love the beach, this is the moisturizer you can’t live without. It smells like a combination of your perfect summer day, with a hint of sex wax. It’s light on the skin and lasts forever. Don’t mess with  winter hands. This time of year, the skin can be dry, red, cracked and irritated. Especially if you are sweating (ex: hot yoga), or keeping your hands warm in gloves/mittens and then going about your day - your hands may feel exceptionally dry. Don’t skip. If you’re local - I first discovered this at Coffee at Noon in Bay Head. It’s been on my desk ever since!

Order it on Amazon from Body Hands & Feet to get it by Christmas.

  3. ENERGYbits Beauty Bits: Spirulina is an algae. Algae is the original source of omega-3s. Where have we been conditioned to believe that we get omega-3s? Fish. Where do fish get omega-3s? Algae. Yes - there is a differentiation in the breakdown and absorption of omegas from fish vs. algal sources that I won’t get into here. However, ENERGYbits algae is a sustainable source of omega-3s that helps with exercise + recovery, skin beautification, energy, memory, cardiovascular stress, blood sugar balance & heavy metal detoxification. It is a great source of protein, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids & phytonutrients. The perfect stocking stuffer! Use code NUTRITIONBYGRACE for a discount.

  4. Saje Aroma Om Diffuser: A healthier alternative to the HomeGoods candles we all may go through phases of addiction with. All Saje diffusers are beautiful, but this one is my favorite. It’s sleek, ceramic and super quiet. Refresh is my all-time favorite home scent.

For the Locals:

  1. Literally Anything from Source and Tradition: Porcelain dinner & houseware made by hand in Bay Head, New Jersey. There’s really not a holiday/birthday/housewarming/celebratory event when I am not stopping in to Source and Tradition to pick up a gift. Whether it be a large classic bowl, vase or a small pinch bowl, gifting from Source always feels exceptional. Do these look familiar? You may have eaten off of pieces at ABC Kitchen, Jean-Georges or the Aman Hotels. Luxe.

  2. Nutrition by Grace Gift Card: Nutrition needs to fit into your lifestyle. And my goal is to help more plant-based foods fit into your day to day. This does not mean that you must already be plant-based or that you are looking to become plant-based. Everyone’s health journey & lifestyle is unique to them - and their nutrition should be, too. Gift cards available for all services, both in-office & virtual. Thinking of gifting health to yourself in 2024? Book a connection call!

  3. Seed to Sprout Gift Card: Seed to Sprout is an organic vegan eatery in Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. I worked here through college! Working at Seed taught me how to cook plant-based foods and make everything I want to eat taste good. I don’t even think I ate salad before I tried their marinated greens. Seed to Sprout is where you go when you want to brunch with the people you love, and where you know you can always eat real good food.

  4. XHALE Hot Yoga Gift Card: Give the gift of sweaty yoga classes this holiday season. Heat-seeking vinyasa yogis have been flowing at XHALE in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, for over 10 years. The studio is custom built with radiant heat ceiling panels - trust me, you feel it. Class temps range anywhere from 107-110 degrees fahrenheit. Come flow with me! I completed my yoga teacher training with Kripalu 10+ years ago, and have been flowing in heated studios throughout NYC & NJ ever since - I just don’t feel like it’s worth an hour if it’s not hot yoga. It’s basically a 2-for-1!
